I have participated in organized sports as a player and a coach for many years. The progression started with; Little League, AYSO and Pop Warner, high school sports and finally playing six years of college football. Through hard work and determination I was very successful as a player, always voted team captain, all conference, MVP team honors.

Now that energy has shifted in a new direction and as a college student my new passion is coaching as well as mentoring. Over the last six years I have worked for numerous recreation departments including; San Mateo (Beresford Center), Menlo Park (Burgess Center) and Redwood City (Red Morton Center). At these departments I have gained valuable training, versatility and experience in working with children and implementing sports into their lives.

My experiences gained over these last many years range from, planning children's events, coordinating intramurals, teaching special education PE classes as well as numerous valuable coaching techniques. I have coached at Junipero Serra Catholic High School as well as coordinate and run their entire strength and conditioning program for the Patrick Walsh summer camp. I also am a substitute teacher for the Archdioses of San Francisco working at various Catholic School as well as a substitute teacher (k-8) for the San Jose, Redwood City, San Mateo and Foster City public school districts.

Currently, while focusing on my sports camps, I am working on my Masters Degree in Sports Management / Exercise Physiology at San Jose State University. In the spring of 2000, one of my objectives was to begin running my own "mini" sports classes and use sports as a "bridge" to building upstanding young boys and girls. Due to their success, fun and popular demand I have continued them throughout the summer and into the school year. Through sports, mentoring, light conditioning and cardiovascular exercise my goal is to make a child's first organized sports experience a positive one.

As a certified personal trainer for various gyms and now running my own fitness business my goals are to educate and teach health and fitness to all ages. Adult fitness groups and individual training from my Fitness With Friends and Personal Training programs are not only fun, but beneficial to a better quality of life.
